All you need is few nice brushes, like a dry tree brush, cloud brush and dust brush.
Create a new image with white background. Choose tree brush to create a dark tree and its lighter shadow.
Now use cloud brushes in different hues to create a nice sky effect. Create little bit of dusty effect using different hues of black and brown. And for the icing on the cake, select a quote of your choice to make it more meaningful. A simple yet convincing image .
